Imagine the "Emagine" from Emjoi. The Emagine from Emjoi is a ground breaking hair remover with 72 tweezer heads that removes hair quickly and comfortably by reducing the number of passes required to achieve the benefits of epilation – smooth and silky skin. Emjoi's patented "Glide Technology" lifts up the hair for quick and easy removal. Coupled with Emjoi's innovation of a one fixed tweezer disc and two that open and close, the skin is stretched to increase comfort and efficiently remove hair. The Emagine is also the first epilator in the world to offer Silver Ion Technology to provide antimicrobial protection – from bacterial infections. Emagine's Dual Opposed Staggered Heads are a completely new feature for an epilator; they allow the epilator to cover more surface area than ever before while grasping and removing the hair in one pass. To reduce the chance of ingrown hairs, the Emagine features exclusive "middle lifting fingers" that lift flat and short hairs for easy epilation. The Emagine is the ultimate hair remover! The Results? – Hair Free for up to 6 weeks while leaving your skin soft and smooth. Middle lifting fingers prepare hair for removal by lifting flat and short hair and decrease the possibility of ingrown hair Removes hair from the root leaving skin smooth for up to 6 weeks. Silver Ion Technology provides antimicrobial protection Curved shape is designed to hug the curves of the body Ergonomically engineered handle is balanced in your hand and is easy to hold and maneuver all over the body Removes hair from the root as short as 0.5mm Gentle enough to remove delicate facial hair on the upper lip and chin Great for removing hair on the legs, bikini line and underarms Soft touch grip for comfort and control 2 Speed

Handy little thing works well

This is the second epilator I bought, and I liked it much better than the first. When I opened the package, I found the epilator, the cord, the carrying bag, cleaning brush, exfoliating pad, and the manual all included. The epilator fits comfortably in my hand and is easy to maneuver, even with the cord (which has to remain attached during use and was not a problem.) It’s kinda loud, but no more than other epilators I guess, and actually a little quieter than the first one I tried. The fact that it has so many tweezers makes it go more quickly than an epilator with less tweezers. It does hurt a little at first, but I have pretty thick and coarse hair, so it’s much better doing it this way than waxing. I used this everywhere but my face. Yes, my whole bikini area, legs, arms, and underarms. I use the little brush every few strokes to wipe it out, go slow and don’t press hard or you’ll end up breaking hairs off instead of pulling them out. Also, wiping the tweezers with alcohol in between uses seems to help keep them gripping the hairs nicely. And everything fits right into the little carrying bag when finished!
Comparing the Emjoi to the Phillips HP6401. A honest review with no truth stretching!

This is my fifth epilator I have bought! I have had it about 6 months and wanted to wait and use it a while before I gave it my review. This is also the most expensive one I have bought! I am glad I waited because I learned some tricks with this one to really get max performance with it! My first few weeks/months with it I was disappointed! After reading the reviews I expected this to be very fast and save me a lot of time compared to my other epilators. With all the extra blades it only made sense. I am here to tell you that it takes just as long and I really think a tad bit longer. But hear me out and keep in mind I gave it 5 stars for the many reasons discussed below.

I am a seasoned epilator, and thought I’d share my experience for those who are debating which epilator to purchase.
There are a lot of good reviews about this

There are a lot of good reviews about this, and then a lot of bad reviews… so… I wasn’t sure which fence I’d be on once I got the chance to use it. 😉 Well, I like this epilator! I’d previously used the Epilady Legend for years, and the first one I got was good, but the second one I got doesn’t really pull hair out from the roots (I got the second one after I moved, as the first one stayed at my parents house – so, it’s not because the first one died or anything). 🙂 The second Epilady cuts the hair right at the surface, which is what we are all trying to avoid by epilating and not shaving, right? 🙂 But this Emjoi one really seems to snag those pesky suckers from the root! My legs feel way smoother and stay that way for much longer. It also works a lot quicker, probably because of the 72 tweezers. The instructions say to roll it with the growth of the hair, but I don’t find that to work. I always roll it upwards/against the hair, and with this product, I sort of rock it back and forth while keeping it in contact with my skin, and slowly move up against the hair growth. It only works when plugged in though, so that can be inconvenient sometimes. It has two speed settings, and the second/faster speed is a bit loud, haha, but nothing too extreme. All in all, I’m very pleased with its effectiveness.
Quick and (relatively) painless!

This is my third epi unit over the course of 10ish years. I’ve been an early adopter, and suffered through the early days. I literally used my first one once and then put it away for a year or so before trying again because it hurt so much. A couple of years ago I bought a new rechargeable wet/dry unit, thinking that it might reduce the pain. It did a bit, but because it was battery powered it didn’t seem as powerful. I was hesitant to spend more money on another unit, but I researched a lot of them before arriving at this one. My main goal was to find one with as many tweezers as possible, to expedite the process. Even though it takes weeks for hair to grow back I find that you end up using it once a week, and I want it to be as quick and painless as possible. While I was expecting quick from this unit, I was very pleasantly surprised to discover how painless it was. I don’t know what they’ve done to redesign it or if all of the newer models are like this, but I am impressed. It is very powerful, and therefore also quite loud, but I’m fine with that so long as it works as well as it does.
The first time I used it, I screamed the entire time. Still worth it, though.
The first time I used it, I screamed the entire time. I have fine, light brown hair on my legs…not too hairy. The second time (4 weeks later) there was no screaming and it was much more comfortable to use because many hairs did not return and the ones that did were super fine and light. I’ll keep using it, even though my legs don’t feel as smooth as after a shave with a razor, but close enough! It passes the husband test (he likes shaved legs), so I’m very satisfied. Now I use this about once every 2-3 weeks and it saves me about 5-6 minutes in the shower. Do exfoliate really well in a hot shower right before you use this–it makes the hair ripping out go much easier. I also continue to exfoliate my legs during every shower so I don’t get ingrown hairs, and so far so good!
Works as described, saves money in the long run

This works very well. It cleans almost all the hair in a single pass and all the hair and 2 to 3 passes. Buying this works out to be much much cheaper than going to the beauty parlor every month.
I do recommend getting waxing the areas you plan to use this …
this is the second one of this same exact model that I have purchased in 10 years. I wish it had a light but with 72 tweezers it is fast and I want it done asap.
