Great so far

I’ve used gel, glue, wax, pomade, hairspray and I couldn’t find the right balance of hold, more mated look and not feeling like a rock. This seems to hit all those marks well. It’s a small container but I didn’t have to use much to hold in place. And I have medium to longish hair (Hispanic male wavy thick hair). I used another brand and it was super greasy whenever I ran my hair through it: with this one, none of that problem. Definitely give it a try

A true clay pomade worth the $20

I have been looking for a good matte pomade with medium to strong hold. This stuff is exactly what I needed. I’m a white dude with brown straight and a little curly hair. Baxter clay pomade has a nice matte finish. I usually wait for my hair to dry before applying but I have also been in a hurry and applied right out of the shower after towel drying. I noticed that if I apply to damp hair, the hold doesn’t seem to last as strong and long through out the day but still does a pretty damn good job. I have short/medium hair and I only use a tiny bit, about a dime size. As you rub the clay in your hands it feels a grainy but then smoothens out. Applies to the hair nicely. Hold is pretty strong but not the strongest. The smell of the Baxter clay pomade smells like a pomade not like some type of scent was added and it doesn’t bother me or my girlfriend.

Great product that will go a long way.

I have thin hair, and when it gets long, it becomes unmanageable and looks like $%#(. 🙂 I was browsing a site that recommended this brand, so I gave it a try. The pomade is very sticky, but once a little amount is rubbed into my hair, it stays put, but does not look glossy or shinny like other types of hair products. This little jar will last a long time. Highly recommended!

it also washes out relatively easily with shampoo

I never thought I would be writing a review about a hair product, but here I am.

This is the first hair styling product that I love for my hair type. My hair style is an undercut that I push to the back/side. I have a thick head of hair, but the hair itself is fairly thin and tends to be on the oily side.

Good but too strong for me

Just received this today. I usually use boogies hair clay from dollar shave club but wanted to try something firmer. This stuff is prettttttty firm. Loosens up nicely after rubbing between fingers but application is a little thick and tends to clump hairs together rather than an even smooth texture. I can tell that it’s a strong hold and will prob last most of the day.

Im 25 and i have been looking around for hair products since Crew had failed to give me what i was looking for. I have thick wavy hair and this stuff is awesome in holding it in place and i can work it in to do what i want. The container is high quality, thick glass and just over all cool looking.

Easily the best hair product for men

I’ve been wanting to style my hair similar to the latest Justin Timberlake hair style. I’ve got the similar cut but my hair has a slight curl and it grows forward, making the combed back look a lot more difficult. I tried numerous products from wax pomade to mousse to hair gel to a combination of mouse and gel, to no avail. Just when I was about to give up, shave my head, abandon all hope and become a monk, I found Baxter Clay Pomade. This baby is wax based so it’s got a strong hold and doesn’t wash off easily, which can be a good thing because after the third day you pretty much have a hair helmet. All I can say is after I started using this product I can finally bend my hair to my will and I get mistaken for Justin Timberlake all the time these days.
