Easy way to make it more pain free:

I started using an epilator many years ago and many of the hairs have never grown back – and those that have are growing in much finer. I love not having to shave every day, I love how my underarms and bikini area don’t have visible dark hair stubble – and look hair free. Yes it hurts a little but there are a few things I’ve found to make it much more comfortable: 1) take 3 or 4 (no more!) Advil or Ibuprophen pills about 45 minutes before you start, 2) take a bath and soak the legs/area in very warm water to soften the skin and make hair easier to remove, 3) right before you start, spray Bactine on the area, let it dry, then start using the epilator (Bactine has a pain reliever ingredient that will help relieve the discomfort)
Ow but the results though!

It works really well, I do wish it had a much slower speed setting for really sensitive areas. Who knew the tops of my arm on the inside of my elbow (if that makes sense) and the backs of my thighs were so sensitive. Use this if you really want.. It’ll miss some hairs that are too short to get, and if your hair is super stubborn or you dont press the thing against your skin (it doesn’t pull the skin just hair) it’ll just keep pulling at the hair until either you move on because OW. Or it’ll pull the stubborn hair out eventually. To clean mine I just shake it upside down pretty hard while its on full speed.
Wonderful. I use this for chin/neck hairs

Wonderful. I use this for chin/neck hairs. Gets every hair. I recommend exfoliating and washing area after hair removal to avoid irritation, bumps and pimples.
I love it!

I bought this a long time ago, I use it every where. But it died and had to buy another. bought the Philip one I think because it was cheaper, big mistake, It stinks. This one gets the job done for sure.
Takes some getting used to but the results are worth it. I’m glad I tried this

So I am a man and bought this soley for my legs and bikini area. First of all It is painful and takes patience and getting use to. But the results are worth it. Better than shaving ever other day. I have also ordered some tattoo numbing spray to help alleviate the pain to be able to do more sections at once, rather than in daily increments. The spray arrives today so I will update.

First of all, let me say this is my first experience with an epilator. After reading the other reviews, I chose this one for its performance and price. I have not been disappointed.
Good first epilator

This is my first epilator and I’ve only used it once. There is some discomfort of course as you will be essentially tweezing the hair at a high rate of speed. I put on a good movie and tried to zone out while using it. Like a lot of the other reviews mention, the rollers aren’t very soft and are kind of prickly themselves. I found that some spots were nearly impossible to reach when I had the rollers on, and the angle of the epilator had to be held just perfectly so that it was perpendicular to my skin. Not easy on curvy areas like the back of the knees. I ended up just taking off the rollers (probably not safe?) but it ended up working better for me this way as I was able to “roll” the epilator with the curve of my skin much more naturally. Removing the rollers didn’t cause me any damage or add to the discomfort level in any way, but to be clear I made sure to be extra careful after I took them off. I always ALWAYS get razor burn or skin rash with any product I use, so after I was finished I wiped my legs down with my favorite product that helps to eliminate my razor burn – it’s called “skin tight” and it’s the best. Even when using that, I did get a “puffy skin” look for the next 24 hours, but it was better than the puffy/scabby skin I get with waxing! By 48 hours the skin inflammation went down and my legs look better than if I had shaved. It of course missed a few hairs, but I was able to run over those really quickly and easily with my razor to touch up. Instead of my regular 15 minutes to shave, I was done in less than a minute.
Under arms stay smooth for weeks. It’s amazing.

This is my first epilator. I bought it to use on my legs and instead I have been using it on my under arms. I think the hair on my legs is too thin to be efficiently removed with an epilator, or at least with this particular one. It works wonders on my under arms though and I’m very glad that I was brave enough to try it. The light is a great help.
Not gonna lie, it hurts

All epilators hurt, but that’s not why I only gave 4 stars. Takes several times to get all the hair. Works decent for an epilator, just wish it got more hair each pass. Took an hour to do both lower legs (and, yes, it hurt).
Deal with the pain & live with the beauty 😉

The first time you use it WILL be the worst. After that, each time will be easier. It’s like having a waxer on demand. For date night with the husband I use this & then shave, my legs feel like butter, even after I get goose bumps!
