I had no idea if an Epilator would work for me and read so many reviews prior to buying. After a year of use, here is my feedback to help you decide if this is for you.

Great device

Older model, but I like it. Especially as a first-time kit. If this is your first time epilating, yes, it does hurt. There will be pain, tears, maybe a little blood. You’ll swear with words you didn’t knew you knew, and look like a plucked chicken after all your hard work and maybe even still feel a little stubble.. BUT I don’t think any device can make that better when we’re talking about ripping hair from the roots with a whirling barrel of tweezers. If you’re old enough, just take a shot of Sailor Jerry. Throw on baby powder on the area you’re epilating and go for it. Have some coconut oil and aloe vera gel on hand to soothe the skin when you’re done. Witch hazel to keep it clean later. You’ll heal really nice. The more regularly you do it, the smoother you’ll be, and the less it’ll hurt.

Gets better each time

It takes some getting used to, but gets less painful with time. Make sure you go slowly or you will miss a lot of the hairs on the first pass. Take your time until you get the hang of it. Your skin has to be dry – not sweaty at all. Pulling your skin taut as you do it makes a world of difference. I find if I go over the areas with a razor 24-hours later it is a good week and a half before I have to epilate again. Use a good moisturizer like Body Drench afterward. My only complaint is the on/off speed switch is hard to turn on and off.

I like that this plugs in so that I don’t have …

I’ve been using this now for months with no issues. I shaved in the past but just needed a change from the constant upkeep. I epilate about once a week to keep on top of stragglers. Even with the very handy little built in light, I find I usually miss a spot here and there. And to be perfectly honest it’s not quite as smooth a finish as shaving. But for me to only have to do it once a week and my legs are 95% smooth, it’s totally worth it.

Good product for epilation beginners

I really enjoy this. I wouldn’t say it’s absolutely pain free, but it does get better the more you use it. My best recommendations would be to take it slow. You are not going to have perfect results after one session since you are trying to remove ALL the hair on your legs, underarms, or wherever you use this.

Worth the pain!

I’m not gonna lie, this is PAINFUL. SO painful. Anyone who says it’s not has godlike pain tolerance lol but after you do it for a while it doesn’t hurt as bad. I’m really pleased with how this works. It doesn’t get every hair in one pass, but most of my leg hairs grow at different angles so I wasn’t expecting it to! But it does get all of the hair to pull out. Overall really pleased with this epilator! I love the fact that it comes with all the attachments, and the cooling glove really does make a difference in my opinion. Love it!

I love this epilator. I haven’t used any before but after buying it and using it I began wishing that it were wireless. I bought it because I would get really bad ingrown hairs in my bikini area from shaving. It works great and using this last so much longer than shaving. I typically have to shave my legs every day but with this I can go for about a week and a half before doing it again. Epilating is time consuming but I enjoy the smoothness. It’s not for everyone and it is painful, especially when it gets closer to your bikini area. The cooling pad isn’t something I ever use with it because I never found it to makeup less painful.

… irritation when shaving my bikini line but I absolutely love this epilator

I struggled for years with ingrown hairs and irritation when shaving my bikini line but I absolutely love this epilator. This is the first time I’ve had one and I admit the first time can be a little painful but Ive gotten used to it. I love that I now can go so long without having to shave. However although this doesn’t leave you completely smooth like a razor, a quick pass with a razor will do the job in a couple seconds. I not only save time in not having to shave as often but I also save money with the fact that I barely use a normal razor anymore.
